Why This Exists
Join Team Bitcoin is a passion project for me.
About two years ago, I made a choice to leave my corporate job and spend my time on things I think actually matter. I’ve never worked harder — and I’ve never felt more purpose. These days that means projects rooted in education: bringing people along, sharing what I’ve learned, and hopefully leaving the world a little better than I found it.
Specifically, my mission is to share the value of Bitcoin with others — and help people get real exposure in a way that works for them.
The more time I’ve spent thinking about a Bitcoin standard, the harder it’s been to find a scenario where it doesn’t make things better. Incentives get cleaner. Time horizons get longer. Saving stops being a losing game. People get more sovereignty over their lives.
As a Bitcoiner, the highest ROI I can generate with my time and effort is simple: help more people join Team Bitcoin.
Right as I launched this site I could feel something off in the BTC space, and the vibes from the big accounts on X were weird. Then the Coldcard flaw hit, the August fork happened, and I watched two mining pools decide the outcome. I came out of it on team Kratter and Mechanic: I believe BTC has been captured by the miners and by big-government influence, and that the Bitcoin idea now lives in XBT. Everything on this site is still accurate as written; what changed is my read of what BTC is. I’ve written it all down on Where I Stand. I’m scaling JTB back to put my energy into my other businesses, including POW Advisory, my consulting practice for the XBT economy, paid in XBT only. Updates here will be sporadic. Join Team Bitcoin is still an idea, and I’m still on Team Bitcoin.
